Kurzfassung: The growing awareness of the social impacts of products and business practices is driving stakeholders to demand greater sustainability from companies. The Social Life Cycle Assessment (S-LCA) evaluates social effects throughout the product life cycle and identifies opportunities to foster social sustainability. Despite its potential, S-LCA remains in a pilot phase in many sectors, including the European automotive industry. This work combines conceptual and empirical approaches to refine the method. It introduces stakeholder groups, indicators, and a methodical approach to stakeholder selection, while being the first to test IT solutions for product-specific applications. The goal is to enhance the method and facilitate its integration into everyday business practice to maximize long-term value for companies and society.
